COMPOUNDING
 

We at Trans-Mate are particularly proud of our compounding versatility.  We can compound both powder products and liquids.  We routinely compound solvent-based and water-based products – acidic, neutral and alkaline.  We have 18 compounding tanks for liquids, ranging from 3300 gallons to 70 gallons in size and can easily manage multi-phase production processes. Chemicals are added to batches by weight.   Experience has taught us that the key to consistent, high quality compounding is the compounder.  Our two compounders have over 15 years of experience in the industry and pride themselves on a job well done.  Environmental responsibility is important to us:  we recycle our production rinse-water and create virtually no production effluent.

Our customers require products to be packaged in a wide range of container sizes.  We routinely package in the following stock packages.  In addition we can accommodate custom packaging options when volume permits.

LABEL DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION
 

One of the keys to our flexibility is our in-house, pressure-sensitive label production capabilities.  We design and produce our own pressure sensitive labels using state-of-the-art inkless, film laminate technology.  Our labels look great and because they are inkless, offer excellent chemical resistance.  Of course we also can utilize labels developed by our customers when required.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

An important tenet of modern manufacturing is that quality assurance begins on the plant floor and that quality is everyone’s job.  We embrace this concept completely.  Our quality control specialists work in concert with our manufacturing staff to assure that all products are compounded properly and are thoroughly tested before being packaged.  A retain sample for each and every batch is kept for one year.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

You will know that Trans-Mate is a different kind of company the first time you give us a call.  We don’t believe in automated phone systems, with complicated menus.  Your call will be answered by a human being.  We don’t believe in out-sourcing our service functions either.  Your customer service questions will be managed by on-site employees who understand the business and who will get you answers to your questions promptly. 

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
 

The specialty chemical industry is, quite properly, a highly regulated industry.  Trans-Mate employs both a full time regulatory specialist and regulatory consultants to assure our facility is managed in compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and that our products are supported with proper hazard labeling, MSDS, and DOT documentation.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
 

The only constant in our industry is change.  Trans-Mate maintains a full-time product development team that generates a continuous stream of new and exciting products.  The key to our success is simple; everyone on the product development team is involved in all aspects of development, from defining opportunities to testing prototypes.
